Well, this thread degraded quite rapidly. "War declarations are never officially considered griefing and are not a bannable offense, and it has been repeatedly stated by the developers that the possibility for non-consensual PvP is an intended feature." - CCP |

If you had read the first post in this thread you'd see he wasn't making excuses. Or, perhaps you're just lacking sufficient brain capacity to understand that. Ether way... Mokanor Lenak wrote:That is similar to telling people "go make this guy kill himself". In his position (as goons CEO and on CSM) can be considered as if he actually pulled the trigger himself if by any bad chance the guy would have actually kill himself.
Consider if The Wis said he was going to "quit the game" over the griefing. And Mittani said "If you want to make him quit the game!"
People often overstate/exaggerate and use extreme hyperbole in their online statements.
How many times have you seen someone say "oh **** me" or "kill me now". Did they really mean it? Probably not. No, he thought it would be funny to tell everyone in the internet videogame called Eve: Online. Then some self-serving carebears decided to take that and post it to every game news website and force CCP into making public statements and acting all political.
If -any- of these people cared about The Wis they'd have left him alone. Instead, you took an insult that he didn't even know about, and used it to make him upset to prove your point that it was a 'mean' thing to say.
Yes it was a little mean if taken literally, but its also mean to go dragging that guy's personal life up in front of the cameras as your martyr. When i was in gradeschool, we were on a field trip. One of the students literally shat his pants and everyone saw it. Needless to say, there was many jokes about it.
Now, imagine if a teacher called an assembly, and dragged him up on stage and gave a huge lecture about bullying. Thats what you did to The Wis. You took his personal issues, and used it for your own self-serving purposes without even considering what he would want. This is what Mittani did and encouraged other people to do as well.
No, was just in his class laughing and making fun of the situation. You can argue that it was childish, sure. But it was all of you mittani-hatersl who decided to give the lecture and turn it into cannon fodder to use against your enemies.
This might result in his entire REAL LIFE family/friends finding out about his situation and personal issues. There is also the possibility that he may have the police show up to check on his condition. If the police are unsure, they are forced to hold him for 72 hour suicide watch. What if he didn't want this? Did any of you ask The Wis what he thought before you started posting your crap to every game news site you could find? Nope. the whole incident is just profit for ccp. The headlines brought tons of exposure that advertising wouldnt have. not to mention it paints eve as a brutal place, and thats exactly what attracted me to the game in the first place.

Lt Pizi wrote: if this all would be an ingame issue we wouldnt be here
but this is RL stuff , you know somthing outside your room
if you want a brutal place outside of eve .... im sure you know where to go, i would and was there
still like it better in RL safe and nice
it is an ingame issue. it was said at an event where they're encouraged to talk about their game life. Its hard to completely seperate your ingame character with real life personality sometimes. What is said on teamspeak isnt in game. does that mean when i say i'm going to go kill that guy on teamspeak i'm threatening his real life body? No.
And the only reason you're all here is because you're abusing The Wis's personal problems for your own selfish reasons. namely, to remove mittani from csm like you've all been trying and plotting to do for years.
you've all abused the wis, and exposed him to far more ridicule then mittani ever did.
